  • Fedora 16 Officially Released for IBM System z 64-bit

    Start64!Dan Horák announced a last evening, December 15th, the immediate availability for download of the Fedora 16 operating system for IBM System z (s390x) 64-bit systems. Fedora 16, codenamed Verne, comes with a lot of new features and updated packages. Among them we can mention Linux kernel 3.1, GNOME 3.2.1 desktop environment with the GNOME Shell interface and the KDE Software Compilation 4.7.2 environment.

  • Fusion 16 Beta Available for Download

    Start64!Fusion 16 Beta has been announced by Valent Turkovic, a developer that also put together Fusion Linux 14, a distribution which is essentially a Fedora Remix. Fusion Linux is an installable Live DVD ISO image that includes multimedia functionality out of the box, with added desktop tweaks for usability and additional software.
